Sample haul:Pretty Addictions!

Yay!!!!!! Sample Haul!!!!!! Pretty Addictions!!! I can't breath!!!!! Haha I am having such a good day today! I got a new job AND I got a package in the mail. You ladies can't tell me it isn't like freaking Christmas every single time haha.So August 3rd,2011 I ordered five sample Eye Candys AND it was free shipping so I felt like it was double Christmas!! So yeah August 3rd and got today August 8th....That is awesome turn around time for shipping.I ended up with six shades.I thought it was so sweet of her to include a SIXTH sample pack in my shipment of five samples. So for the five colors that I chose I got Mango Magarita,Wicked,Darkness,Mellow Yellow, and Vivid. The sixth shade she included was Obnoxious....I didn't swatch this cause One i got side tracked with the others and forgot (shhhhh) and two it was in a baggy and I'm a messy person with baggies so I'll wait hehehehehehe.

So there ish all the ones I got.I'm in love.I think they are all amazing but oh my Wicked.....Wicked Wicked....that is going to be my horse's head for ages. Here is some swatches for you lovely ladies. The far left is just bare skin, the middle is over white kohl liner and the far right is over primer on each picture.
DO YOU SEE THAT?!!!!!!! OMFG!!! I wanna smear it all over my face.It is the prettiest color. Not black or purple....Blurple!! Wicked just Wicked.
I have never been a huge fan of bright blues.I always feel like Barbie >.< But this is a very brilliant blue It is both light and dark and sparkles gorgeous on my primer.
This is another color I absolutely creamed over.It is like this wonderful orangy greenish gold just Oi.It was so multifaceted on my skin.I adore colors that morph into different ones you feel like you are getting more bang for your buck.
I still have no idea if I got the name right.Out of all of them my blind ass couldn't see the bottom very well lmao. But yeah this is the yellow I ordered.SUPER PIGMENTED.I felt like I had a lemon skin glued to my arm.As far as color....follow me here. Not as super sparkly as the others but I like the Yellow Ochre feel of this.Did I spell that right O.o

Last but certainly not least is Vivid.Every one of us has an inner girl inside that (maybe begrudgingly) longs for pink.Pink pink pink pink pink. This is PINK I mean PINK.Like Jem neon 80's pink.Now...over my primer it turned into this more mature version of pink.Like a golden pinky lovely gossamer...*drools* What? What happen? *blinks blinks* So yeah all and all my experience with this lovely ladies shop was A++++. Please go check out her website at Pretty Addiction   and  On Facebook. She has YouTube/Blogger specials and free shipping on orders over $50.00.Shipping for orders under $50.00 are a $5.00 flat rate which is awesome. The personal touch of this company is going to go far.I felt like her friend rather than just her customer I will definitely be going back to my friend for more of her awesome products! Much love!

Review: Firey Burning Flesh Cloths ie Make-Up Remover Cleansing Cloths

Hi there hookercookies! So I have noticed I have picked up two habits (not necessarily bad) but habits nonetheless that I didn't really have before until I got into blogging and the make-up community and what not.So one is...I have an insatiable lust for buying samples. >.< INSATIABLE like if I see a sample I'm buying it...Free shipping? I'll buy 'em all lol And my second habit is curiosity.I am curious about EVERYTHING.I mean I guess I was before....hence why I ended up getting into blogging and videos anyway but this is like...I wanna try EVERYTHING,curious. So I have been hunting to find something more effective to get my make-up off my face.I have my regular face scrub and I have eye-makeup remover (review coming later) But I was starting to feel heavy in my pores (NOOOOOOOOO) so I figured I needed to find something to more deeply clean my make-up off.Something actually made to remove make-up.I have regular toner that I use but toner is not actually meant for make-up removal.the amount you have to use to effectively get rid of your make-up is just outrageous. So! I found myself in Walgreens today perusing the shelves for something.

Now I know what you're saying....You didn't research first? O.O Bad Digi! I'm guilty ladies.I am a guilty naughty evil little impulse buyer.Spank me now.Wait..wrong blog O.O Ok ok so big time impulse buyer. So I go in and ask the girl at the cosmetics counter "Help me get this stuff off my face!" no no so I just said ya know what do you have that does THIS.So she pointed me in the direction of Neutrogena make-up remover cloths. Now as curious and impulse( y )? as I am,I am also super cheap >.< So instead of buying the expensive ones I got the Walgreens Brand. So Here they are:
Like I said i picked these up at Walgreens for $5.99. They say compare to Neutrogena Make-Up Remover and if I was a good blogger I would have bought those and COMPARED them and listened to the package but since I am cheapy mc cheapskate you is gonna have to deal with this..HAHA.Now these things are pretty straight forward. No water needed you just pop them out like a baby wipe and then smear it all over your face.It claims to remove make-up from deep down and also the most stubborn of mascaras (which means you can use it on your eyes) and to exfoliate gently. It sounds good in theory.I should have been leery the moment I smelled them and they smelt like toilet bowl cleaner. So I had a full day's worth of make-up on my face and grabbed one of these clothes and rubbed it all over my face.My first impression was that of a Home Alone movie like....Hands slapping to cheeks AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! For the record i was stupid and continued on even though the first initial wipe burned.I rubbed it all over my face where I had make-up and then put it down.So sitting there all I could deduce was something terrible had taken place on my face.I have never had a chemical peel but I figure this was probably what a bad one felt like.BURN BURN BURN BURN...freaking holy face herpes Batman! So I say there fanning my face hoping beyond hope that I hadn't damaged myself for life.During this time i was able to weakly snap some pictures of how much make-up these burning cloths of death had removed.See below.

So not only did it remove skin it removed make-up as well.I mean that's what it was supposed to do...not the skin part but you get what I'm saying. After my skin finally felt...somewhat normal I decided to see just how much make-up these little devils actually removed. So with my toner I took some cotton balls and rubbed it over my skin catching all the same places I had with the cloth. Here's what I got.

It took four cotton balls to clean up the residue on my face.In the end for the pain and price it was NOT worth it in the slightest. While I felt my pores were smaller and it DID remove my eye make-up I don't even think I'll be finishing up the pack (I used one out of 25) A day after and my skin feels greasier then it's ever been....as if it is trying to make up for how downright tight and dry it was from the burning.I wouldn't recommend these at all.In the end maybe the more expensive ones work better.I know Neutrogena usually makes pretty decent products so who knows but I would be leery.

Heres an overview of what my skin looked like.
If you notice this is my right cheek.I had some serious make-up clogging going on and flaking cause the day had been unmercifully hot. After the cleansing cloth there is a noticeable difference. My pores look clearer and after my toner and some moisturizer to help the burn and dryness you see my pores have smoothed out.
I don't see much of a difference on my nose but I do see a small one.It is cleaner.
Again on my other cheek you can see I have some major clog going on (ick!!!) and the cleansing cloth did it's job.

In closing....if you are into inflicting pain on yourself (you emo you haha) or have super horse hide skin this product is for you.If you have sensitive skin or just in general aren't too much into hurting yourself than I would find another way. There has to be a better way.I hope you find this helpful.Stay awesome ladies and thanks for reading!

Kanga & Roo Inspired Look

"If you go on making faces like Piglet's, you will grow up to _look_
like Piglet---and _then_ think how sorry you will be."
-- Kanga tells it like it is

I really think there is a part of all of us that has a soft spot for Kanga and Roo.Kanga is the epitome of a mom who tells it like it is but her love for Roo shines through in the Hundred Acre Wood. Not too mention with all that craziness there has to be a voice of reason somewhere haha.So on my journey of doing make-up looks inspired by Pooh characters I have already plucked at the feathers of owl and now I have found a picture of Kanga and Roo that pulled on my heart strings.

This photo to me exudes warmth and love. There is such a softness in Kanga and the way she looks at her little boy.Makes me almost tear up.So I decided to pull that warm out.The pinks of both characters, the warm orangy browns and the slate blue of the blanket.

Prepping my face as usual with a wash, I decided to use my Smash Box Photo Finish INSTEAD of my Magic Perfecting base....Blarg was not happy. One: Smash Box doesn't chill out my pores as well as my Perfecting base but TWO it's also more oily for me and leaves me slicker then I would like.AT ANY RATE Wash Smash Box then concealer over my red areas or bumps.Water based foundation and some setting powder.Pretty much the face I start with every time.So on my eyes I worked my Pixi Lustrous Primer onto my lids and patted in with my finger just gently.Gives a really nice golden glow.Next up my Wet N Wild Kohl Eyeliner in white all over my lid as a sticky base for my shadow to cling to.

To pull in the wonderful pink of the characters I used a lovely pink from my Profusion palette and blended it over my entire lid straight up to my brow bone.I did this with my Smudge Brush and just blended blended blended until it was soft and airbrushed feeling against the white kohl liner. After I took my MUG Chisel Shader brush and from tear ducts up to about the middle of my lid I laid a brownish orange color from my palette...I really laid this color on to bring in the warm brown of the characters. With my smudge brush I blended that out in the pink.Next color I used was a slate blue color to bring in that comfy blanket! From the corner I swept it into my crease darkening it but not too much.Fanning my brush sideways I swept it into my browbone as well.To finish up with shadow I highlighted just under my brow with a shimmery white.

For eyeliner I swept my jordana Glitter Rocks Eyeliner Pencil in Rockabilly Brown from my tear duct to mid-lower lash line.On my outer lashline I just lightly penciled in my jordana eyeliner in Brown.I also tight lined my eyes with the Rockabilly Brown and filled in my brows with the brown (I disliked my job on my brows this time oi I need waxed) Cheeks are the Body Shop Cheek Color in 05 and my lips I just kept a soft pinky color with Wet N Wild 502A.I am happy with how soft this came out and honestly consider it work appropriate. It is a tad sparkly but sparkle never hurt anyone!!! I hope you enjoyed this look as much as I enjoyed making it.Please vote on my Facebook for the next character.Pooh,Christopher Robin,Piglet,Eeyore,or Tigger.Definitely looking forward to it.Check out the video as well :) It's the first one I actually talked in Dorkface Here Heres some piccys:

Thank you so much for all the likes I've been getting on facebook.Much love!!!
