Sample haul:Pretty Addictions!

Yay!!!!!! Sample Haul!!!!!! Pretty Addictions!!! I can't breath!!!!! Haha I am having such a good day today! I got a new job AND I got a package in the mail. You ladies can't tell me it isn't like freaking Christmas every single time haha.So August 3rd,2011 I ordered five sample Eye Candys AND it was free shipping so I felt like it was double Christmas!! So yeah August 3rd and got today August 8th....That is awesome turn around time for shipping.I ended up with six shades.I thought it was so sweet of her to include a SIXTH sample pack in my shipment of five samples. So for the five colors that I chose I got Mango Magarita,Wicked,Darkness,Mellow Yellow, and Vivid. The sixth shade she included was Obnoxious....I didn't swatch this cause One i got side tracked with the others and forgot (shhhhh) and two it was in a baggy and I'm a messy person with baggies so I'll wait hehehehehehe.

So there ish all the ones I got.I'm in love.I think they are all amazing but oh my Wicked.....Wicked Wicked....that is going to be my horse's head for ages. Here is some swatches for you lovely ladies. The far left is just bare skin, the middle is over white kohl liner and the far right is over primer on each picture.
DO YOU SEE THAT?!!!!!!! OMFG!!! I wanna smear it all over my face.It is the prettiest color. Not black or purple....Blurple!! Wicked just Wicked.
I have never been a huge fan of bright blues.I always feel like Barbie >.< But this is a very brilliant blue It is both light and dark and sparkles gorgeous on my primer.
This is another color I absolutely creamed over.It is like this wonderful orangy greenish gold just Oi.It was so multifaceted on my skin.I adore colors that morph into different ones you feel like you are getting more bang for your buck.
I still have no idea if I got the name right.Out of all of them my blind ass couldn't see the bottom very well lmao. But yeah this is the yellow I ordered.SUPER PIGMENTED.I felt like I had a lemon skin glued to my arm.As far as color....follow me here. Not as super sparkly as the others but I like the Yellow Ochre feel of this.Did I spell that right O.o

Last but certainly not least is Vivid.Every one of us has an inner girl inside that (maybe begrudgingly) longs for pink.Pink pink pink pink pink. This is PINK I mean PINK.Like Jem neon 80's pink.Now...over my primer it turned into this more mature version of pink.Like a golden pinky lovely gossamer...*drools* What? What happen? *blinks blinks* So yeah all and all my experience with this lovely ladies shop was A++++. Please go check out her website at Pretty Addiction   and  On Facebook. She has YouTube/Blogger specials and free shipping on orders over $50.00.Shipping for orders under $50.00 are a $5.00 flat rate which is awesome. The personal touch of this company is going to go far.I felt like her friend rather than just her customer I will definitely be going back to my friend for more of her awesome products! Much love!

Review: Firey Burning Flesh Cloths ie Make-Up Remover Cleansing Cloths

Hi there hookercookies! So I have noticed I have picked up two habits (not necessarily bad) but habits nonetheless that I didn't really have before until I got into blogging and the make-up community and what not.So one is...I have an insatiable lust for buying samples. >.< INSATIABLE like if I see a sample I'm buying it...Free shipping? I'll buy 'em all lol And my second habit is curiosity.I am curious about EVERYTHING.I mean I guess I was before....hence why I ended up getting into blogging and videos anyway but this is like...I wanna try EVERYTHING,curious. So I have been hunting to find something more effective to get my make-up off my face.I have my regular face scrub and I have eye-makeup remover (review coming later) But I was starting to feel heavy in my pores (NOOOOOOOOO) so I figured I needed to find something to more deeply clean my make-up off.Something actually made to remove make-up.I have regular toner that I use but toner is not actually meant for make-up removal.the amount you have to use to effectively get rid of your make-up is just outrageous. So! I found myself in Walgreens today perusing the shelves for something.

Now I know what you're saying....You didn't research first? O.O Bad Digi! I'm guilty ladies.I am a guilty naughty evil little impulse buyer.Spank me now.Wait..wrong blog O.O Ok ok so big time impulse buyer. So I go in and ask the girl at the cosmetics counter "Help me get this stuff off my face!" no no so I just said ya know what do you have that does THIS.So she pointed me in the direction of Neutrogena make-up remover cloths. Now as curious and impulse( y )? as I am,I am also super cheap >.< So instead of buying the expensive ones I got the Walgreens Brand. So Here they are:
Like I said i picked these up at Walgreens for $5.99. They say compare to Neutrogena Make-Up Remover and if I was a good blogger I would have bought those and COMPARED them and listened to the package but since I am cheapy mc cheapskate you is gonna have to deal with this..HAHA.Now these things are pretty straight forward. No water needed you just pop them out like a baby wipe and then smear it all over your face.It claims to remove make-up from deep down and also the most stubborn of mascaras (which means you can use it on your eyes) and to exfoliate gently. It sounds good in theory.I should have been leery the moment I smelled them and they smelt like toilet bowl cleaner. So I had a full day's worth of make-up on my face and grabbed one of these clothes and rubbed it all over my face.My first impression was that of a Home Alone movie like....Hands slapping to cheeks AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! For the record i was stupid and continued on even though the first initial wipe burned.I rubbed it all over my face where I had make-up and then put it down.So sitting there all I could deduce was something terrible had taken place on my face.I have never had a chemical peel but I figure this was probably what a bad one felt like.BURN BURN BURN BURN...freaking holy face herpes Batman! So I say there fanning my face hoping beyond hope that I hadn't damaged myself for life.During this time i was able to weakly snap some pictures of how much make-up these burning cloths of death had removed.See below.

So not only did it remove skin it removed make-up as well.I mean that's what it was supposed to do...not the skin part but you get what I'm saying. After my skin finally felt...somewhat normal I decided to see just how much make-up these little devils actually removed. So with my toner I took some cotton balls and rubbed it over my skin catching all the same places I had with the cloth. Here's what I got.

It took four cotton balls to clean up the residue on my face.In the end for the pain and price it was NOT worth it in the slightest. While I felt my pores were smaller and it DID remove my eye make-up I don't even think I'll be finishing up the pack (I used one out of 25) A day after and my skin feels greasier then it's ever been....as if it is trying to make up for how downright tight and dry it was from the burning.I wouldn't recommend these at all.In the end maybe the more expensive ones work better.I know Neutrogena usually makes pretty decent products so who knows but I would be leery.

Heres an overview of what my skin looked like.
If you notice this is my right cheek.I had some serious make-up clogging going on and flaking cause the day had been unmercifully hot. After the cleansing cloth there is a noticeable difference. My pores look clearer and after my toner and some moisturizer to help the burn and dryness you see my pores have smoothed out.
I don't see much of a difference on my nose but I do see a small one.It is cleaner.
Again on my other cheek you can see I have some major clog going on (ick!!!) and the cleansing cloth did it's job.

In closing....if you are into inflicting pain on yourself (you emo you haha) or have super horse hide skin this product is for you.If you have sensitive skin or just in general aren't too much into hurting yourself than I would find another way. There has to be a better way.I hope you find this helpful.Stay awesome ladies and thanks for reading!

Kanga & Roo Inspired Look

"If you go on making faces like Piglet's, you will grow up to _look_
like Piglet---and _then_ think how sorry you will be."
-- Kanga tells it like it is

I really think there is a part of all of us that has a soft spot for Kanga and Roo.Kanga is the epitome of a mom who tells it like it is but her love for Roo shines through in the Hundred Acre Wood. Not too mention with all that craziness there has to be a voice of reason somewhere haha.So on my journey of doing make-up looks inspired by Pooh characters I have already plucked at the feathers of owl and now I have found a picture of Kanga and Roo that pulled on my heart strings.

This photo to me exudes warmth and love. There is such a softness in Kanga and the way she looks at her little boy.Makes me almost tear up.So I decided to pull that warm out.The pinks of both characters, the warm orangy browns and the slate blue of the blanket.

Prepping my face as usual with a wash, I decided to use my Smash Box Photo Finish INSTEAD of my Magic Perfecting base....Blarg was not happy. One: Smash Box doesn't chill out my pores as well as my Perfecting base but TWO it's also more oily for me and leaves me slicker then I would like.AT ANY RATE Wash Smash Box then concealer over my red areas or bumps.Water based foundation and some setting powder.Pretty much the face I start with every time.So on my eyes I worked my Pixi Lustrous Primer onto my lids and patted in with my finger just gently.Gives a really nice golden glow.Next up my Wet N Wild Kohl Eyeliner in white all over my lid as a sticky base for my shadow to cling to.

To pull in the wonderful pink of the characters I used a lovely pink from my Profusion palette and blended it over my entire lid straight up to my brow bone.I did this with my Smudge Brush and just blended blended blended until it was soft and airbrushed feeling against the white kohl liner. After I took my MUG Chisel Shader brush and from tear ducts up to about the middle of my lid I laid a brownish orange color from my palette...I really laid this color on to bring in the warm brown of the characters. With my smudge brush I blended that out in the pink.Next color I used was a slate blue color to bring in that comfy blanket! From the corner I swept it into my crease darkening it but not too much.Fanning my brush sideways I swept it into my browbone as well.To finish up with shadow I highlighted just under my brow with a shimmery white.

For eyeliner I swept my jordana Glitter Rocks Eyeliner Pencil in Rockabilly Brown from my tear duct to mid-lower lash line.On my outer lashline I just lightly penciled in my jordana eyeliner in Brown.I also tight lined my eyes with the Rockabilly Brown and filled in my brows with the brown (I disliked my job on my brows this time oi I need waxed) Cheeks are the Body Shop Cheek Color in 05 and my lips I just kept a soft pinky color with Wet N Wild 502A.I am happy with how soft this came out and honestly consider it work appropriate. It is a tad sparkly but sparkle never hurt anyone!!! I hope you enjoyed this look as much as I enjoyed making it.Please vote on my Facebook for the next character.Pooh,Christopher Robin,Piglet,Eeyore,or Tigger.Definitely looking forward to it.Check out the video as well :) It's the first one I actually talked in Dorkface Here Heres some piccys:

Thank you so much for all the likes I've been getting on facebook.Much love!!!

Mini Haul:Makeup Geek

So super happy I got a package in the mail today.Seriously.This week has been hell. This little treasure trove in my mailbox made me freaking smile.First time MUG orderer (is that a word? O.o) Long time make-up addict. *raises hand* Hi my name is....At any rate I plan on grabbing hauls from them whenever the Money Tree ripens. Was a very good experience.I placed my order on July 24,2011 and it was super fast going through everything. The site is very easy to navigate and everything is pretty cut and dry.The sale at the time was a 99 cent sale which had me all like (O.O) *runs....sock slides across floor BUY BUY BUY BUY* I should have spent more.Looking at my little box I'm having non buyers remorse *le sigh* At any rate I ended up buying two NYX shadows and a MUG brush.(not 99 cents but hey effective advertising...sell the cheap stuff people look BAM purchase a non sale item v.v) It was packaged good and came with packing peanuts.I got my invoice and shipment verification same day which was AWESOME and it arrived today so six days (God it felt longer).Great experience I plan on doing again once I rob a bank...Umm I mean...work hard for my moneh v.v

First up is my NYX shadow in 'Summer Green' or ES51A.It comes in a nice 2.5 gram pat.Cruelty Free Hypoallergenic. The color is gorgeous sorta of like a summery....green....<.<......>.>...,No no really haha it's a very clean green.I'd say like the lovely part at the bottom of a grass sprig. The yellowish golden limey green. Heres some piccys and swatches for ya.

                                                                    Closed *sexy aura*
                                                 Open *Hallelujah!Ahhhohhhhahhhhohhhahhhh*
Ok so heres some swatches starting from well the left.Like you are looking at the screen that left.I laid some black down and put the green over it and it turned into a very sexy sexy deep green. In the middle is the Summer Green over my Pixi primer. The color seems richer and more golden to me and of course to the far right the color by itself on fresh skin (Mmmm fresh skin nom nom nom) in which cause the color is still strong and lovely.

The second shade I got was NYX 'Redhead' or ES73.Again you get it in a nice 2.5 gram pat.Cruelty Free (Paint yaself not puppies!) Hypoallergenic (not gonna fuck ya face up...well we hope) I don't have alot of red shades yet (bad Digi!) So I have been trying to expand on that. This red is about as close to 'TRUE RED' as I think I could get.I mean it's red.Not dark red not light red.Just in the middle bright red.Ronald McDonald would be so proud *tear* I love it.Am looking forward to using it in one of my upcoming Winnie The Pooh looks. So here ya go some piccys and swatches.

                                                             Closed *quiet seduction*
                                                        Open *IN YO FACE SUCKA!*

So heres the swatches.Far Left is the Red Head over black which was very nice and brim stoney like to me.Felt very volcano. In the middle is it over my Pixi eye primer and the color just wow popped.Love that red. *sings about red bawoons* On the end is the Red Head on just my skin and it was a very matte soft red look.Yeah definitely love these.CAN"T WAIT to try them!

Last thing I got was a new brush Squee >(^.^)<!! This was NOT 99 cents but again it's like a grocery store. You put all the stuff people need (NEED *snorts*) on sale and people swarm in and end up spending their cash on regular priced items too.As I was going through all the 99 cents shades I was Oooooo and Ahhhhing and thinking of the hot makeup lusty painting *pants pants* I could do with my new colors and of course my fingers were itching and crying 'Mommy but how shall you follow your muse with the tools you have you need more!' So I had to get a brush v.v and I did.The MUG Chisel Brush C408.I love this brush already and imagine everything with be more precise using it.I washed it just like the packaging said and had a little bit of fall out but most of my new brushes do that. After a little gentle wash and pluck it was perfect and I used it to do the swatches.Heres some piccys!

All and all I have to say my experience with Makeup Geek was orgasmic and I even felt she cuddled me after.*lights up a smoke* Highly recommend doing business with this lady and now I'm spent!
*slaps a wrist to her forehead and makes a dramatic exit*

Hooo.....Hooooo....You? Hooo.....Owl Inspired Look (o)(o)

Sooo I have been wanting to watch Winnie The Pooh for agesssssss...ya know the new one that they keep showing previews that makes you inner child dance around and go 'Oh you silly old bear!' Yeah just the music they chose for most of the advertising hang me longing to be back in the days of Pooh and and icecream and just being memorized by these characters.Oi.To think Eeyore was pretty much the first 'emo' I ever met hahaha. At any rate the colors in that movie popped and just played with eachother (Get ya heads out the gutter ladies >.O) in ways I hadn't thought of.Decided it'd be fun to do a few looks inspired by those characters I hold so close to me wittle heart. So first up is our favorite know it all Owl!

See? I did a good job right? I mean Look how OWL like I made myself OMFGSQUEEE!!!!!! Wait that's not me? *squints* >.< Oh yeah...Hahaha Not me but yeah that's Owl....freaking know it all of the Hundred Acre Wood yo.I really loved the browns on him.I rarely if ever use brown so it was nice getting into my unused shades.I started with my normal face.Washed then prepped with my perfecting base (love it) concealer to foundation foundation to powder powder to my Pixi eye primer :) Covered my eye with my Wet n Wild white pencil and flared it up in the corners to my browbone.Followed with white shadow from my 120 palette and then brought in my brown eyeliner to start stipling in the white to mimic those lovely plumes on owls chest.

Like I said in general I dont have alot of browns v.v I fail.Epic failure.String me up now v.v But I did have a brown palette I've never used so I dipped into that.So I laid a beige color all over the lid and into the white up my browbone even over the brown stipling.Next a darker more mahoghany color mid lid and blended in.I used the darkest brown on my inner corner and swooped it into the other color.I really just wanted everything to 'feel' soft like feathers cause I'm odd like that and I touch myself alot v.v

Blend blend blend blend and then I lined my upper lid and bottom lashline with a straight forward brown pencil.A little mascara and poof. Owl.My version of Owl.I like how it turned out I was a tad surprised actually haha.I had an idea and i ran with it and woot!

Hope you enjoyed! Much love check the vid and my Facebook.I enjoy meeting new people :)

FOTD 'Chromlit'

So my lovekins when I was getting ready to start this I was going to say that it was ONLY Thursday and then was like *blink blink* It's Thursday!!!!! We are almost there! Weekend woooooo!!!!!! But seriously it has been a long week for me.A loooong emotional week.I was 'relieved' of my job for making a phone call to Netflix from a company phone haha but they had been looking for a long time for me to make a mistake.I've come to the conclusion that I need to stop chasing deskjobs and find me a job where I can sparkle.....maybe massage so I can molest people or a make-up artist so I can smear paint all over people or a tattoo artist if ya know...People trust me with a needle v.v At any rate your massage theRAPIST artist tattooer decided to use her freetime to set some things up.Got my channel on! And made my first youtube video! Squee so excited!!!! Check it out...its so noob but hey lol I tried. At any rate proud of the things I have going on right now.I also have a Facebbok page now please check the links at the end of this posting to check them out and show some love.

I hate to start the rest of this on a depressing note BUT on that more sober note some close friends of mine had a tragedy happen to their newly developing family yesterday and whatever spiritualness you may have I'd appreciate a bit of it thrown in their direction.I know I'll be praying for them. Now on to the lighter stuff.

So for this look I did my normal face.Nicely washed.I skipped my Loreal Skin Genesis today...it was so super hot out and I wanted a lighter face the whole I'm meeeelting....meeeeelting thing just didn't feel like the appropriate direction to go for today. So washed face straight into my Perfecting Base then foundation and some face powder. Now the fun part! My eyes I primed with some Pixi Lustrous Eye Primer.I really should do a review on that stuff cause even by itself it gives you like a shimmery glow....Super love it! So ja eye primer and then I took a Wet n Wild White Kohl Liner and lined my lower lashline and filled in my upper lid to the crease just to give my shadow something to stick to.I made sure to kind smudge this in with a finger gently.( I like poking myself in the eye >.O)With my fav brush (it's a smudge brush but I use it for everything) I laid just a taupe pinky color on my brow bones as a highlighter blending above the white and blurring the line a tad.Next up with a slightly bigger brush I laid down just a bright white shadow to make the upcoming colors a bit brighter.

By the way any colors I use OTHER than my sample of Sugar Pill came out of my 120 Palette that I got for five bucks at Walgreens hahaha.Crayon licker on a budget v.v

I recently in the past month bought me some Sugar Pill and if you haven't tried her shadows yet you don't know what you're missing out on lol.I got Darling for my wedding cause my colors were kinda similiar but she also sent me a sample of Tipsy which is like a really cool lime green color.Super pigmented! So I used my little sample of Tipsy (I say little but honestly she sends you a little baggy and it'll probably last me a good while....*snorts* A baggy....with green stuff....eeeehehehe) and laid it into the corners of my eyes...from my tear ducts to just about the middle of my lid with a thin brush.I just laid the color until it was at the intensity I wanted it.Next up with my smudge brush I laid a bright carribean blue at the mid section of my lids blending slightly into the Tipsy.Outer corners I came in and pressed a bright violet into the corners blending in along the crease with long swoops of the brush.

I finished up with a dark turquoise color just pulled down at the corners of my lower lashline. My waterline I filled in with  Maybelline New York Unstoppable Liner in Onyx and tightlined as well with it.I curled my lashes and swooped on some Maybelline New York Lash Stiletto then curled AGAIN cause I really like the better swoop you get curling with wet mascara on it.A quick glide of some Plumper Wet N Wild Pink lip gloss and poof....Chromlit! I really enjoyed doing this and wearing it out.Got lots of compliments on how sparkly I was today haha! Did wonders for my self esteem...Booyaka!
