Review: Firey Burning Flesh Cloths ie Make-Up Remover Cleansing Cloths

Hi there hookercookies! So I have noticed I have picked up two habits (not necessarily bad) but habits nonetheless that I didn't really have before until I got into blogging and the make-up community and what not.So one is...I have an insatiable lust for buying samples. >.< INSATIABLE like if I see a sample I'm buying it...Free shipping? I'll buy 'em all lol And my second habit is curiosity.I am curious about EVERYTHING.I mean I guess I was before....hence why I ended up getting into blogging and videos anyway but this is like...I wanna try EVERYTHING,curious. So I have been hunting to find something more effective to get my make-up off my face.I have my regular face scrub and I have eye-makeup remover (review coming later) But I was starting to feel heavy in my pores (NOOOOOOOOO) so I figured I needed to find something to more deeply clean my make-up off.Something actually made to remove make-up.I have regular toner that I use but toner is not actually meant for make-up removal.the amount you have to use to effectively get rid of your make-up is just outrageous. So! I found myself in Walgreens today perusing the shelves for something.

Now I know what you're saying....You didn't research first? O.O Bad Digi! I'm guilty ladies.I am a guilty naughty evil little impulse buyer.Spank me now.Wait..wrong blog O.O Ok ok so big time impulse buyer. So I go in and ask the girl at the cosmetics counter "Help me get this stuff off my face!" no no so I just said ya know what do you have that does THIS.So she pointed me in the direction of Neutrogena make-up remover cloths. Now as curious and impulse( y )? as I am,I am also super cheap >.< So instead of buying the expensive ones I got the Walgreens Brand. So Here they are:
Like I said i picked these up at Walgreens for $5.99. They say compare to Neutrogena Make-Up Remover and if I was a good blogger I would have bought those and COMPARED them and listened to the package but since I am cheapy mc cheapskate you is gonna have to deal with this..HAHA.Now these things are pretty straight forward. No water needed you just pop them out like a baby wipe and then smear it all over your face.It claims to remove make-up from deep down and also the most stubborn of mascaras (which means you can use it on your eyes) and to exfoliate gently. It sounds good in theory.I should have been leery the moment I smelled them and they smelt like toilet bowl cleaner. So I had a full day's worth of make-up on my face and grabbed one of these clothes and rubbed it all over my face.My first impression was that of a Home Alone movie like....Hands slapping to cheeks AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! For the record i was stupid and continued on even though the first initial wipe burned.I rubbed it all over my face where I had make-up and then put it down.So sitting there all I could deduce was something terrible had taken place on my face.I have never had a chemical peel but I figure this was probably what a bad one felt like.BURN BURN BURN BURN...freaking holy face herpes Batman! So I say there fanning my face hoping beyond hope that I hadn't damaged myself for life.During this time i was able to weakly snap some pictures of how much make-up these burning cloths of death had removed.See below.

So not only did it remove skin it removed make-up as well.I mean that's what it was supposed to do...not the skin part but you get what I'm saying. After my skin finally felt...somewhat normal I decided to see just how much make-up these little devils actually removed. So with my toner I took some cotton balls and rubbed it over my skin catching all the same places I had with the cloth. Here's what I got.

It took four cotton balls to clean up the residue on my face.In the end for the pain and price it was NOT worth it in the slightest. While I felt my pores were smaller and it DID remove my eye make-up I don't even think I'll be finishing up the pack (I used one out of 25) A day after and my skin feels greasier then it's ever been....as if it is trying to make up for how downright tight and dry it was from the burning.I wouldn't recommend these at all.In the end maybe the more expensive ones work better.I know Neutrogena usually makes pretty decent products so who knows but I would be leery.

Heres an overview of what my skin looked like.
If you notice this is my right cheek.I had some serious make-up clogging going on and flaking cause the day had been unmercifully hot. After the cleansing cloth there is a noticeable difference. My pores look clearer and after my toner and some moisturizer to help the burn and dryness you see my pores have smoothed out.
I don't see much of a difference on my nose but I do see a small one.It is cleaner.
Again on my other cheek you can see I have some major clog going on (ick!!!) and the cleansing cloth did it's job.

In closing....if you are into inflicting pain on yourself (you emo you haha) or have super horse hide skin this product is for you.If you have sensitive skin or just in general aren't too much into hurting yourself than I would find another way. There has to be a better way.I hope you find this helpful.Stay awesome ladies and thanks for reading!
